Our story.
Our relationships with lenders are built on collaboration rather than convention. Instead of operating within the traditional framework, where brokers submit cases and await decisions, Alex & Dan set out to cultivate partnerships that create dialogue, influence and flexibility. They wanted to build a team of mortgage advisors who would not be limited by rigid lending criteria or hindered by inefficient processes.
Access & influence
Dan has worked alongside a number of lenders in a consultancy capacity, contributing insight on complex criteria, specialist lending niches, product development and underwriting processes. He has also helped test and refine mortgage products prior to market launch, offering perspective from both the advisor and client sides of the relationship.
This involvement fosters genuine, reciprocal trust. It allows our advisors to engage directly with senior credit teams and decision-makers, shaping conversations rather than reacting to outcomes. The result is a brokerage built around access and influence, able to structure thoughtful solutions for clients whose circumstances do not fit standard lending templates.
Precision & consistency
With a background in engineering & design, Alex developed a clear view of the operational inefficiencies within our industry, becoming increasingly frustrated by duplicated data entry, fragmented systems and processes that consume disproportionate time. Too often, capable advisors are absorbed in administration rather than being focused on advice.
He believes technology should enable, not obstruct. By developing processing tools and integrating them with advanced back-office systems, Pavilion have established a cohesive and intelligent infrastructure that removes friction from the mortgage journey. The result is greater precision, improved consistency and more time dedicated to understanding each client’s circumstances and structuring lending solutions with clarity and care.
Our beginning….
….and our Pavilion End.
For generations, London’s coffee houses and taverns have provided a setting for merchants, underwriters and financiers to test ideas, create alliances and shape markets. The formation of Lloyd's of London at Edward Lloyd’s coffee house remains one of the most well-known examples of that heritage.
In a nod to that enduring British tradition, Pavilion Finance Solutions began life when Alex and Dan first mapped out their ideas in their favourite London pub, The Pavilion End.
Those ideas evolved into a shared and defined vision: to establish a City brokerage capable of pairing the increasingly nuanced needs of modern borrowers with the breadth, character and depth of the UK’s diverse lending market. A firm grounded in relationships, informed by experience and confident in navigating complexity.
With more than 35 years of combined industry experience, we are well positioned to guide you through every stage of your property finance journey.
It starts with a conversation.
